Overview

The second in a series of panel discussions in Australian Parliament House about digital regulation, co-hosted by the Tech Council of Australia and Capital Brief, the event will bring together senior policymakers, business leaders and leading academics to examine Australia’s digital regulation reform agenda.

The session will open with introductory remarks from Hon Dr Andrew Leigh MP, Assistant Minister for Productivity, Competition, Charities and Treasury, followed by a keynote address from Christopher S. Yoo, Imasogie Professor in Law and Technology, University of Pennsylvania, who will share lessons from international regulatory experience and explore what Australia can learn as it develops its approach to digital regulation.

A panel discussion and audience Q&A will then examine how Australia can craft rules that balance policy objectives with the need to support innovation, investment and long-term economic growth.
